3 Reasons why Call of Duty: Black Ops will Suck
Call of Duty: Black Ops, the follow up to Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2, is set to be one of the biggest titles of the year, possibly even of the current generation of consoles. After the fall of Infinity Ward, Treyarch has stepped up to the plate once again to make the next installment in the series. If your one of the many people looking forward to it, here's 3 reasons why you SHOULD NOT buy Black Ops.
1. Infinity Ward makes the "best" Call of Duty games
If you ask any fan of the Call of Duty series, what their favorite of the series was, you'd most likely hear them say Call of Duty 2, Modern Warfare, or Modern Warfare 2. All of these mentioned titles were developed by Infinity Ward, and all the other (Excluding the first CoD) almost forgotten titles were developed by Treyarch. When comparing the developers you see why this is; there is a quality in Infinity Ward titles that just isn't there for the Treyarch titles. I'm by no means saying either of them are bad developers, but when it comes to who makes a better a Call of Duty, Infinity Ward wins.
2. Modern Warfare 2 Sucked
Whether you agree or not, Modern Warfare 2 sucked. It was in no way as complete, polished or just plain good as the first Modern Warfare. The short, terribly written, terribly paced, and downright abysmal single-player campaign of the second one was terribly made. Infinity Ward attempted to re-capture the gasping sequences of the first one, such as the opening submarine mission, the nuclear launch, and the games ending with the airport and other missions, but also taking it way too far. If we look back at World at War, you see its success came from leeching off of Infinity Ward's engine, and the success of Modern Warfare. So you can expect that the same will happen with Black Ops leeching from the success of Modern Warfare 2.
3. Activison & Bobby Kotick
Activision is one of the largest publishers in the video game industry, but because of their CEO Bobby Kotick, is probably not one of the most popular. Bobby Kotcik has made numerous outcries about the gaming industry, developers, you name it, and he's probably bashed on it. He's a businessman, and does not care about the industry whatsoever. The company Activision, is also infamous for constantly forcing games to be pumped out as quickly as possible, especially the Call of Duty series. Because of this, you can most likely expect Black Ops to be extremely rushed. And seriously, do you wanna put money in this man's pockets?
...And there you have it, 3 good reasons to NOT buy Call of Duty: Black Ops, when it's released this coming November.
